Volunteers will form teams to work on solutions to these real-life issues in only three hours, while making a lasting impact on their local communities. This event is aimed for professionals across disciplines (strategic planning, finance, project management, policy, operations, marketing, organizational management, etc.) to work directly with these community partners on issues or projects where they can provide value. Our hope is this will inspire attendees to volunteer, donate or otherwise be more engaged in the community.

Description: During the summer of 2019, the California-based Sun Ten Museum would donate its century-spanning art collection, free of charge, to Taiwan. Located in Irvine, the museum's collection consists of Dr. Hsu Hong-yen's private collection of some 600 important Taiwanese pieces ranging from the Japanese colonial era to the modern day. The donation is to realize Dr. Hsu's wishes: "These paintings are not my own, they are the property of the Taiwanese people. One day, I want the entire collection to be returned home, to be returned to Taiwan."
To provide South California residents a final chance to see the national treasure of Taiwan before it is gone, Sun Ten Museum proudly presents “Drama and Exhibit” displaying its collection from June 2 to June 19, 2019. Taiwan Academy in Los Angeles also works with Bowers Museum, Taiwan Center Foundation of Greater Los Angeles to present a series of Taiwanese art events as follows:

Description: The Chinese American Museum invites you to attend the opening of "Lightscapes: Re-envisioning the Shanshuihua" on Thursday, February 7th from 7-9PM. Join us for a night of programs, mingling, and a first look at our brand-new exhibition.
"Lightscapes: Re-envisioning the Shanshuihua" features works from Taiwan-born artists Nick Dong and Wu Chi Tsung, whose art is re-imagining the philosophies of the Chinese landscape painting. Utilizing new media works and immersive light-based installations, both artists bring forward new interpretations that are not often explored within this genre.

New year, new you! Let's get together and conquer the Crystal Cove hike. The view halfway to the beach is absolutely amazing and is a great spot for you Instagrammers. The hike is relatively straightforward, but hilly and rocky at times, so make sure to wear your outdoor shoes with grip!
Did you know, starting a health & wellness resolution in December means you're more likely to keep it up in the new year? Beat the crowd and make yourself proud!
